The Contractors Classic Golf Day was sponsored in 2025 by our newest division B.E.T. Enabling with its Managing Director Nick Taylor in attendance.
The weather was fair as 68 players arrived to be greeted by tea, coffee and delicious bacon rolls at Surrey National Golf Club on Wednesday 11th June 2025
The competing companies were playing against each other for the glory of taking home the all-new silver-plated claret jug The Contractors Classic Trophy for 2025.
Each companies’ players were mixed into four balls to compete in The Four Ball Team event, and with an individual Champions Trophy to be won, spirits were high and the competition kicked off on a serious but very light-hearted note, with a shotgun start at 9am.
18 holes were played by all teams, with friendly rivalry and much laughter being heard throughout the day.
A three course dinner was served with wine and beverages to suit all tastes and prior to the presentations, Award winning magician Matt Parro, demonstrated his skill and illusions to all’s amazement! Matt delivered stunning close-up tricks, and along with his personality, style, and charisma with an unforgettable performance that was hugely entertaining for all.
A special mention as always, goes to our Bandit of the Day with 44pts with a handicap of just 9 and who shot 8 under that on the day!
Niall Fitzgerald who sportingly donned a sombrero and went home with a cheap bottle of Tequila as per The Contractors Classic tradition.
